The symbolism here is due to its appearance as the "morning star" where it rises in the east before the sun. Venus bestows a sense of affection, harmony, and elegance as it ushers in the Sunrise. From a mental standpoint Venus points to our desire for pleasure, comfort, and quality. Venus points to where we have a tendency to be vain, superficial or self-indulgent.
