Neptune is located in the far outreaches of this solar system. Neptune is referred to as the God of the Seas due, in part, to the methane in the outer region of its atmosphere which is responsible for its ocean blue appearance. The Seas are the realm of the abyss and have long been associated with fantasy, dreams, and mystery. Neptune is symbolic of serenity, imagination, and belief. From a psychological standpoint Neptune points to where we lack clarity, are subject to deception and illusion and where desire to hide or escape reality. Neptune orbits the Sun every 164 years.
