Saturn

Saturn takes about 29 years to orbit the Sun and is most well-known for its glorious ice rings. To the ancient cultures Saturn was the furthest planet from the Sun, beyond it is where time existed not, so Saturn was known as the Lord of Time. Saturn is so far removed from the Sun (the life generator in our solar system) naturally it became associated with all things undesirable. Limitation, destruction, disease and death are some of the words that have been affiliated with Saturn. Saturn on a psychological level represents self-doubt, fear, depression, and the inability to see light (divinity) in anything. Saturn points to areas where we feel we can't overcome or where we feel life is against us. The ice rings are symbolic of our selfishness and desire to isolate from the world, to create and maintain a separate existence due to fear of lack.

*Saturday is named after the planet Saturn*
